Going through a major life change has a big impact on a person, on how you see the world, how you want to show up, and shifts your focus completely. After a major life change in 2025 (divorce), I had a deep need for stability and the comfort of a new home, of creating a new space where I could finally be who I am, could feel safe, and heal.

But. The new home we moved in with kids in January 2025 was far from comfortable and stable – almost no furniture, endless cleaning, a rain of bills, and a very limited budget. Add to this being a single mom to three teens who started high school in 3 new schools and perimenopause. The struggle was real.
My creativity has always been my salvation and the way to “find the way” from any chaos I have going on in life. I learned many important lessons during the past 6 months. Especially things I never knew about myself. The minimal to extreme lifestyle has changed the way I look at things now.
“Less, but better”
Is just one of my daily mantras. I try to be mindful about everything, and at some point, my creative space that I built for Sofie White Designs over the last 3 years did not feel like me anymore.
I am a very dynamic person, and if you follow my journey for a while, you will know that I like to update and refresh my branding now and then. But this year it went way more beyond the visuals.
My whole perspective and focus shifted when I stopped and honestly answered the question “What do you want?” The answer was obvious – simplicity, more freedom, more ways to connect with other creative people, and go beyond textile arts and making by hand. I “discovered” a passion for photography and videography. The passion I was shamed for most in my married life.
Staying in silence, staying still, and resting can be very productive. It helps to keep away all the noise and labels people give you. Voices telling you how to be so that these other people would be more comfortable around you.
“What do you want? What would you do if you knew you couldn’t fail?”

I allowed myself to try and step back, to dive deep, to stay still, and to find my voice. Voice of that new person who is coming to life.
Sometimes, to hear your voice, you need the silence. Unplugging from social media, doing a lot of mindset and strategy work, reflecting on values, and making “cleaning” in my digital space helped me to find it.
The latest months seemed very quiet online, but in the background, I worked on updating my creative project. You could see a few branding and Instagram content changes, but till now I did not make rebranding official, because it was still a work in progress. Now it’s coming to the final step, and I am happy to share.
Maybe it is an “unpopular” decision, but instead of the usual “overnight” upload and reveal, I am making rebranding “while I go.” Changing things bit by bit over time. Respecting the time I have at my disposal, giving myself permission to follow my own path, and saying goodbye to perfectionism.
So, what to expect from the upcoming rebranding?

NEW LOGO
I tried many various options (DIY, designer, and pre-made logos) and it looked nice in the beginning, but then something was off. In the end, I opted for the custom signature logo handmade by an expert calligrapher. The option I was staring at for a few years, but hesitating whether to invest.
Sidenote: this is another lesson to trust my guts. All my experiences tell me that when I do not do it, I do not like the result or outcome. I was thinking of making a signature logo with Art Logo for a few years, and after not liking all the outcomes with different options finally decided to go for it!
NEW COLORS
The soft color palette reflects the serenity I want for this creative space to radiate. Neutral, subtle, and fresh colors to reflect positivity and mindfulness.
Besides, these are the colors of my eyes – they change from light blue to a grey shade with the light.
NEW FONTS
Simple and easier to read, especially on reels and other social media posts. But not so “boring” as classical ones. You will see the Instagram posts outlines on the covers -I want it to be easier for you to spot the information you are looking for on my page.
NEW NAVIGATION
Some pages and sections of the website will be moved or updated to make it easier for you to access the information you are looking for. Bit by bit will update all my channels.
COMING UP: NEW CATEGORIES ON THE BLOG

Two new categories will be added to the blog: Home Décor and Well-being. As you can guess, these two are very much aligned with my experiences and life in the last 12 months.
Why did I decide to add them? Because the things other people shared online about their journey of wellness and building a home that reflects their soul helped me a lot on my journey for the same.
I am not a guru or expert of any kind 😉. All I hope for is that my ideas and findings will make your day better and life easier. Some of my posts contain affiliate links – this is to help my blog grow without having a zillion Google ads popping up on every page:) As always, I share only the products and things I genuinely like and use. I buy them with my own money.
I am very excited about this new chapter. Creativity has enormous healing potential because it makes you discover the parts of you that you never knew existed.
Thank you for being and bearing with me on the way without judging.
