Lacy shells stitch is the stitch I used for my best-selling design – The Emmy blanket. In the video below you will find a full step-by-step tutorial with explanations. For the video tutorial, I was using Navy yarn by Adriafil and a 7 mm (metric size) hook.
Below you will find the gallery showing blankets made with a lacy shells stitch.
I designed two versions of this blanket – a baby blanket that you can make in any chunky-weight yarn – wool, cotton, or fibers mix.
And for all lovers of modern and “big” cozy blankets, there is a super bulky version that will make an ideal family blanket for winter. It will add a boho and cozy vibe to any room or photo shoot set.
Slide the images to see both blankets. Don’t they look stunning? And made in any yarn they are very cozy and soft. The detailed crochet pattern for both blankets you can find here.
I would love to see what projects you’ll do using this elegant stitch. Feel free to share your beautiful work by tagging @sofieswhitedesigns or @sofiewhiteblog on Instagram.
And if you have any questions, please share them in the comments below. I will be glad to help.
Happy making:)
